It is in the middle of the Loire Valley that Charles Aréthuse, balloonist, developed his professional activity of balloon fights: Art Montgolfières.

After getting a degree in holding and local tourism management, Charles obtained the patent of the hot air balloons and his pilot license, then he got the air carrier certificate. In 2005, Charles was 20 years old when he founded Art Montgolfières and became the youngest entrepreneur in the region. Always looking for improvement, he gets instructor ratings in 2006.

After that, Charles Arethuse opened 2 accommodation cottages, restored an old barn to open 3 additional bedrooms, and built an indoor pool for the well-being of his guests.

In 2008, he extended his flying sites to Anjou and Sologne. Environmentally conscious, he built a storage shed with photovoltaic system.

Although told that English would be spoken. NONE of the team members of Art Montgolfiere were able to speak English. So a little disappointing for this special birthday experience. Also after having been given a booking confirmation for date/time these were altered and did cause some concern. Thanks to Adrenaline Hunter U.K. for managing to keep to the original booking.
